Brian King is a native of West Monroe, Louisiana, who in college earned a B.A. in history, with a minor in physics. Brian graduated with honors from Tulane Law School, and was selected to Order of the Barristers for his moot court participation. He also won Tulane's Senior Appellate Competition. After law school, he served as a staff attorney and law clerk at Louisiana's Second Circuit Court of Appeal. Despite his interest in, and talent for, the intellectual challenge of appellate work, Brian yearned for courtroom action, and thereafter served for three years as an assistant district attorney in the First Judicial District, where he tried dozens of cases, beginning with misdemeanors and ending with major felonies including murder, armed robbery, and other serious matters.
